What was InstaPV, and what happened to it?
InstaPV was a free web tool for looking at public Instagram accounts without logging in. You typed a username, it showed that profile's stories, posts and follower numbers, and your name never landed in anyone's story viewer list. As of September 2026, instapv.com doesn't open at all: the domain no longer points to a working site, so refreshing the page or switching browsers won't bring it back.
IGWatcher does the same core job, and it works today. Paste a public username or profile link into the box above to see that account's stories, posts, reels and comments in your browser, with no login and no app. IGWatcher is not affiliated with InstaPV. A few newer sites have borrowed the InstaPV name, so be careful which one you trust. We only open public accounts and never ask for your Instagram password.
How to use IGWatcher instead of InstaPV
Copy the username of any public Instagram account, or its profile link, and paste it into the search box at the top of this page. IGWatcher opens the profile in a few seconds. From there you can switch between stories, posts and reels, tap a post to read its comments, or open the profile picture at full size. Want to keep something? Use the download button on the photo, video, reel or story. If a section comes up empty, Instagram sometimes holds data back for a moment, so wait a minute and try again.

Is InstaPV down or still working?
In our checks in September 2026, instapv.com didn't open at all, because the domain no longer points to a working server. That isn't your browser or your connection, so clearing the cache or switching devices won't bring it back.
Is there a new InstaPV website?
Several sites now use the InstaPV name on different domains. We can't confirm that any of them is connected to the original instapv.com, so treat them like any new site: never type in your Instagram password, and skip anything that promises to open private accounts.
What is the best InstaPV alternative?
If you used the InstaPV viewer to check stories and profiles quietly, IGWatcher covers the same ground: stories, posts, reels, comments, full-size profile pictures and downloads, all without logging in. It's free and runs in your browser.
Is IGWatcher the same as InstaPV?
No. IGWatcher is not affiliated with InstaPV and was built separately. It's simply a working tool for the job InstaPV was known for: viewing public Instagram accounts anonymously.
Was InstaPV safe to use?
We can't vouch for a site we didn't build and that no longer runs. What matters is the tool you pick next: a safe viewer never asks for your Instagram password and never pushes an app install before showing you anything. IGWatcher does neither.
Can IGWatcher show private Instagram accounts?
No. IGWatcher only opens public profiles, the same content anyone can see without following the account. A site that claims it can get past a private account's settings isn't telling the truth.
Does the account owner see that I viewed their profile?
No. IGWatcher loads public stories and posts through its own servers, so you never show up in a story viewer list and the owner gets no notification.
Can I track followers like on InstaPV?
You'll see an account's follower and following counts, and once a profile has been checked on two different days, the Statistics tab charts how its followers change. IGWatcher doesn't list every individual follower.
Do I have to sign up or install anything?
No. There's no registration and nothing to download. IGWatcher works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and it's free.
What if a profile opens but a section stays empty?
Usually the account is private, the username has a typo, or Instagram didn't return that data on this attempt. Check the spelling, make sure the profile is public, and try again in a minute.
